Josh Reikes has built a career in the real estate industry from the ground up. He began in 1999 as an investor and entrepreneur, buying and renovating properties to be rented or flipped. Having learned the ins and outs of the mortgage world from the consumer’s point of view, he then transitioned into the business of helping others get the mortgages they need. In 2003, he earned his California broker’s license and shortly thereafter formed his own mortgage brokerage. Word spread quickly about Josh’s unmatched integrity, honesty, and work ethic as he rapidly developed the necessary banking relationships to become a respected force within the industry. Soon, Josh had a loyal following of industry professionals and past clients for both residential and commercial loans.

Josh’s ongoing commitment to quality in client communication did not go unnoticed. In the spring of 2005, Josh began regular speaking engagements for large local companies such as Boeing, Raytheon & Northrop-Grumman. His easy-to-understand communication style and disarming personality have opened the door of home finance to first-time buyers and existing homeowners alike.

Josh has now joined Coast Capital Group, bringing his unparalleled depth and breadth of knowledge to strengthen the existing team at Coast. After the most successful two quarters in his own brokerage’s history, he wisely decided that the best way to keep serving his clients would be to join forces with his colleagues at Coast Capital Group. By combining his industry relationships and experience with the resources available at Capital Coast Group, Josh is able to offer his clients the thing they want most: the best possible value for their needs.

Josh holds a BS in Business Management from California State University, Chico. He began his professional career as a pilot for a major U.S. airline while learning about the real estate industry. After flying for less than two years at that airline, he was awarded “Jet Captain” at the age of 24, making him the second youngest Embraer-145 captain in the company’s history. He now lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife Anne-Marie and their Golden Retriever, Clyde.
